3 Wineries and Lunch
Immerse yourself in the natural and man-made beauty of the Douro Valley: mountain and vineyard sceneries, a beautiful river and charming typical arquitechture all in one wonderful region for you to explore on this full-day tour from Porto, entirely dedicated to you and your group alone!
You will be picked up from your hotel or accomodation in the city of Porto at 8:30AM. Your guide will introduce themselves, and you will be explained about the daily program. The journey will, then, starts towards Douro
The main focus of this tour is around the wineries visits and tastings: you will be visiting three small local wineries, one in the morning and two in the afternoon, before coming back to Porto. At two of the wineries you will be in company of an expert local guide who will guide you through the facilities (lagares and cellars) and tell you about the wine making process as you taste their selected wines.
At the third, you will experience a selected wine tasting while they explain more about the wines.
By lunch time we stop in the village of Pinhão, an historical village in the heart of Douro, where lunch takes place at a traditional local restaurant of typical Portuguese food, which may include a meal of fish, meat or vegetarian (we can also accommodate your meal if you have a gluten free diet – just let us know in advance).
As a bonus, we also make small stops for taking pictures and admire the surroundings and nature at local viewpoints during the day!
